Advanced Plant Nutrition
In this lecture we will discuss
• the nutritional needs of plants, concepts of Essential, Beneficial and Toxic elements
• Nutrition solution systems; principles, application in plant nutrition studies, advances
• the uptake and transport of nutrients and water into the plants,
• the effect of nutrient on product quality,
• the symptoms of nutritional deficiencies and plant disorders*,
• the foiar uptake of nutrients into the plants*
• the role of plant nutrition in plant tolerance against abiotic stresses: salinity,
• the role of plant nutrition in plant tolerance against biotic stresses: diseases
Prerequisites:
Plant Nutrition
Grading Policy:
Questions will be asked on the preceding lectures in a written test which lasts 5-10 min (open book),
the tests are noted, and an average note is calculated;
a non excused absence at each test = 0
The final note = average note of the written exams (1.0) plus report of desired project (4.0) plus final exam note (15.0)
Additional note (up to 1.0) is considered for class activity and qualified reports received
The credit point is given when the final note is >= 14.0
